QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
A micro module computer room is a highly integrated, rapidly deployable data-center infrastructure. It combines power distribution, temperature control, cabinet access, cabling, and monitoring into a single self-contained module, eliminating the need for traditional long-cycle civil construction. Because all subsystems arrive pre-engineered, deployment is significantly faster than a conventional build-out.
The system is widely used across financial institutions, hospitals, schools, telecommunications operators, and general enterprise environments.
Two main aisle layouts are supported:
Cabinets are available in the following sizes (H × W × D):
| Height | Width | Depth |
|---|---|---|
| 2,000 mm | 600 or 800 mm | 1,200 mm |
| 2,000 mm | 600 or 800 mm | 1,100 mm |
| 2,200 mm | 600 or 800 mm | 1,200 mm |
Usable rack space per cabinet is 42U or 47U, and each cabinet supports a load of ≤ 1.5 t.
Cabinets use a front-and-rear mesh door design with a through-hole rate of ≥ 75%, ensuring efficient airflow through the cold/hot aisle containment architecture. The roof can be configured as a self-resetting flip-up roof, a drop-down flip-up roof, or a fixed roof depending on the installation requirement. Door opening mode is automatic sliding door or sliding doors.
Precision in-row air conditioners are positioned between cabinet columns and are available in four cooling capacities:
| Cooling Capacity | Indoor Unit Size (H × W × D) |
|---|---|
| 25 kW | 2,000 × 300 × 1,100 mm |
| 35 kW | 2,000 × 300 × 1,200 mm |
| 46 kW | 2,000 × 600 × 1,200 mm |
| 165 kW | 2,000 × 600 × 1,200 mm |
All indoor units carry an IP23 internal rating; external units carry an IP55 rating. Cabinets themselves are rated IP20. Input power for air-conditioning units is 380/400/415 VAC, 50/60 Hz, 3Ph+N+PE.
Precision power distribution cabinets are installed at the head of each column and feature:
The micro module computer room can be installed directly on a cement floor or on a raised floor, providing installation flexibility that suits both new and retrofit facilities. No specialised sub-floor infrastructure is mandatory.
Published comparison data highlights the following differences:
| Metric | Traditional DC Build | Micro Module Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Deployment cycle | 3–6 months | 1–2 weeks |
| Energy efficiency (PUE) | 1.8–2.5 | 1.2–1.5 |
| Installation flexibility | Fixed structure | Modular / scalable |
| Cooling precision | Room-level (low) | In-row (high) |
| Initial capex | High (civil works) | Lower (prefabricated) |
The modular design also supports expansion from a single-row to a double-row configuration as capacity requirements grow.
The system integrates a management platform that covers:
Documented application areas include financial systems, hospitals, schools, telecommunications operators, and general enterprises and institutions. The rapid-deployment, space-saving design makes it particularly relevant where floor space is limited or where fast commissioning is required.
